Hello there, I'm Matthew Hudson.

I'm a New York-based Engineering Director and web developer with 15+ years of experience building high-impact products for media, healthcare, and fintech companies.

Currently, I'm at Code and Theory, leading projects for RealClearPolling and The Minnesota Star Tribune. My career has also taken me through incredible roles at Condé Nast (Vanity Fair & The New Yorker), betaworks, and SeatGeek.

My work has earned Webby Awards and been featured in Poynter, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal—not to mention a case study or two. I'm also an open source contributor with projects like current-device, githooks.com, pxon, and words.

From 2018 to 2021, I took my laptop on the road, working remotely from over 15 countries including Brazil, Spain, the UK, Italy, France, Greece, Japan, Indonesia, Colombia, Cuba, South Africa, Namibia, Morocco, and Chile. Outside of work, I'm passionate about cooking—a hobby that's expanded into gardening. I'm an avid reader and a fan of exploring the great outdoors, hiking, and just generally touching grass.

You can check out my resume on Standard Resume, some of my code on CodePen & GitHub, and the occasional adventuring on Instagram. Say hello at via email.
